User data deletion

What you can ask us to delete

You may at any time request deletion of any of the following data that Dastoor holds about you:

• Website enquiries you submitted (name, mobile, email, occasion, dates)
• WhatsApp message history exchanged with our official business number
• Payment transaction history (we delete the booking record; for tax compliance we retain the gateway-issued reference and invoice number for seven years as required by the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the Companies Act, 2013, with all other identifying data removed)
• SMS contact history (OTP records expire automatically after five minutes; transactional records are retained for six months for DLT compliance and then auto-purged)

How to request deletion

Send an email to info@dastoorgarden.com from the email address (or with the mobile number) on file with us. Use the subject line “Data deletion request” and include:

• Your full name as we know you
• The mobile number associated with your enquiry / booking / WhatsApp conversation
• Which specific data set you wish deleted (or “all of the above”)

Alternatively, send a WhatsApp message to +91 88787 89999 with the same details.

How long it takes

We acknowledge the request within two business days and complete the deletion within thirty days, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). Where data is held by a third-party processor (e.g. Meta for WhatsApp, the payment gateway, the SMS gateway), we forward the deletion request to the relevant processor and confirm completion to you.

What we cannot delete

Indian law requires us to retain certain financial records (invoices, GST returns, bank reconciliations) for seven years. Where this applies, identifying personal data is stripped from the record while the financial entry is preserved in pseudonymised form for audit purposes only. No marketing, contact or contractual use is made of this residual data.
